North Curl Curl Headland

It had been a typical rainy Saturday and the kids and I were going stir crazy from being inside all day. I suggested we head out for a bush walk through our local headland now that the rain had subsided.

The bush was rich with colour, as if the rain had literally saturated the hues. The sun was starting to set and a beautiful candy-floss pink was glowing through the distant trees. Our moods were immediately lifted and our nervous systems re-set. The power of Mother Nature always astonishes me and I wanted to convey that feeling of joy in this painting.
